Affiliate Marketing with Porn
There are a lot of ways to make money online, I personally prefer affiliate marketing to promote porn site memberships.
What Is Affiliate Marketing?
The concept behind affiliate marketing is simple. You send a person to a business and get paid for bringing that person in. Simply you’re a salesman. You set up a website that will be used to promote an affiliate, when a person visits your site and clicks through to your affiliate (via your affiliate link) you are given credit for the visit. If that person signs up, the business compensates you.
The porn industry picked up this form of online marketing early and continues to use it to this day to promote their sites and receive new site members. This is the type of online marketing I’ll focus on with this blog.
Commission Structure
Commission structure defines the type of payout you’ll receive. With porn affiliates, this is usually a percentage cut of the sign up fee. The two affiliates I’m suggesting on this blog, TeenRevenue and SpunkyCash have a revenue sharing commission structure, which pays out 50% to you for each site up. In addition, this 50% is reoccurring, which means you get 50% of their monthly revenue every month until that signup cancels.
Pros & Cons
Pros: There is no concern about smart pricing or conversions. Your payout will not be affected by your ability to convert. This is good for someone just learning how to drive targeted traffic. You can generate low quality traffic and not receive a smart price penalty, like Adsense. You also make the same amount as the content provider. You split the income 50/50. This is really nice because you get to make the same amount of money, but you don’t have to worry about managing models, photographers, graphic designers, or maintaining records. The same money, but with less hassle.
Cons: Affiliate marketing is performance based marketing. You do not get paid for impressions or clicks. The payment only comes from when the visitor converts. Although you won’t be punished via smart pricing for poorly converting traffic, you won’t make any money either. At least with Adsense you can get 1 to 5 cent clicks when smart priced. An affiliate site in the same situation won’t make any money. People can steal your revenue also by trading out your affiliate link with theirs. Then, they get the 50% cut and you don’t. (This happens a lot in internet savvy niches where people know what an affiliate link is, luckily, most porn surfers don’t. And in addition, most Internet savvy people are not signed up with porn related affiliates) Also you have to set up rotation and contextual display on your own. Adsense is simple because you just put in 1 code, it determines the content, and serves the proper contextual ad; and it rotates them out automatically.
There are definitely some negatives to affiliate marketing, but there are pros and cons with every advertising model. Affiliate marketing it the predominate and most successful form of marketing used in the adult industry, so that is what we’re teaching here.
Adult Affiliates
There are hundreds of adult affiliates on the Internet. Right now I’m going to be talking about two and using them as an example for now. As we move on, I’ll bring in other affiliates that I feel comfortable promoting.
Teen Revenue: I’ve used these guys for a while now. They have several cute teen models. Some of them are classic Internet teen models and they have a few news ones. They convert really well for the sites I’ve set up for them. I have one site that makes $500 to $600 a month, which is not bad. I know $500 isn’t crazy, but I only work on it a few hours a week. The idea is to set up multiple sites with that type of income. This site pays out weekly. It takes them a few weeks before they send out the first payment, but then its regular past that. They deposit right into my epassporte account, then I direct deposit it into my bank account.
Spunky Cash: These guys are a big affiliate. They run several big sites. They use ccbill as their payment gateway (I need to make a post about ccbill). I’ve just got into promoting their stuff, but I’ll keep you updated on how it goes.
Try these two for now. If you’re new to adult marketing it’d be best for you to use these because I’m going to use their sites as examples in future posts.
Affiliate marketing is nothing new to those interested in making money online. Adult affiliate marketing is not much different, just the promotion methods change. Porn affiliates convert better than anything else I’ve marketed so far. I suggest going and signing up for TeenRevenue and give porn affiliate marketing a try. If you’re a little unsure where to start, just stick around and read the blog. Maybe subscribe. I’ll be talking about how to set up a porn blog and how to promote it.
