Adsense & Porn
Can you use Adsense on porn? No.
Do I care? Should You? NO!
I hate when I see people complain about adult sites because you cannot use Adsense. This frustrates me for two reasons. I know half the people talking about Adsense never make more than a few dollars a day on their niche sites. The other is that people don’t get the fact that porn is different.
What are two of the biggest strengths of Adsense? Text Ads and contextual ads. Know what porn lacks? Text content. Its fine that Adsense doesn’t support porn, it wouldn’t be the best way to monetize many porn sites.
Adsense can bring in great money on content niche blogs, especially those that are geotargeted, but I have no desire to use text based contextual ads on my porn sites.
There are text ad programs for porn, which can work well on some types of sites. These are usually category based and not based off page content, so they’re not as targeted.
Short rant, but wanted to get that out there.
