There is no doubt the porn industry is huge or that lots of money can be made from adult marketing. Porn marketing isn’t for everyone though. Many see it as either taboo or ethically wrong. You may need to hide it from family and friends. You need a little flexibility with your ethics. You have to keep up to date on laws. And lastly, its ultra competitive. It’s a gamble without a doubt, but its high risk for big rewards.

Porn Might Not Be For You If

• You have an ethical disagreement with porn
• Explicit images and language makes you uncomfortable
• You have a difficult time separating business from personal feelings
• You’re horny (Its porn… its distracting)
• You’re not comfortable hiding what you do
• Fear people judging you
• Work as a school teacher or some other government job
• Having a family; wife and kids
• Share you computer with your family
• Don’t have a cut throat approach
• You have no regard for laws (could mean prison time)
• Not willing to learn (requires a different skill set than traditional Internet marketing)

I’m not trying to scare anyone off, but I’m being honest. Porn affiliate marketing is a great source of revenue, but it isn’t for everyone. The constant challenge of trying to hide your browsing history from your family is hard. You have to hide your whois on all your domains. If you co-workers or family found out, it could ruin your reputation (or get you fired). There are risks.

I personally am in my twenties. I go to college. Don’t live at home. Have my own computer. No wife or kids. And a girlfriend who is understanding about what I do. (She hates the porn, but likes the money) And right now, this is my job. My risk is minimal and if it gets out, I can easily write it off as being “young”. Those of you who are older than me and have a family, don’t have the same advantages.

Before you run into setting up your first porn site, I’m going to ask you to pause and review your life. This might not be the right choice for you. If you’re interested though, stick around, because I’m just getting started.
